CALL FOR ARTISTS

Art in the Loft, Northeast Michigan's largest regional fine art center is now accepting applications for artists to exhibit their work in our 2008 Summerview and Winterview Exhibits.

Art in the Loft is located on the third floor of the Center Building in Downtown Alpena. The Loft originated as a temporary experiment to see how well a fine arts gallery would be received. Over 1,000 people visited the gallery during its initial five-week operation.

This year promises to be filled with great opportunities and excitement for both artists and visitors of the Loft. Thanks to the generous donations of many area businesses and residents, our new stairway is complete. This allows us to increase our occupancy and accommodate large events and receptions.

We have an exciting year of exhibits and events planned at Art in the Loft.

Spring Into Art Workshops
In April and May, the Loft will host "Spring into Art Workshops". This series features three artists of national prominence who will conduct energy-filled workshops in mixed media, watercolor and collage. We are excited to have them join us in providing an enriching art experience for participants.
